Your email, and almost nothing else.
Who we are
The waitlist is run by the publisher of this website, a private individual (see the legal notice). Contact: hello@redrooms.app.
What we keep
- The email address you give us, and the date you joined.
- That you said you are 18 or older and agreed to be emailed.
- Your invite code, and the code of the person who invited you, if anyone did, to count the friends you bring.
- A scrambled, one-way version of your connection's address (a hash, never the address itself), only to stop someone from signing up many times. We can't turn it back into your address.
Why
To tell you that you're on the list with your invite link, to email you again when the redrooms beta opens, and to pick who gets in: each friend who joins with your link increases your chances of being picked. We don't send newsletters, we don't sell or share your email, and we don't use it for ads.
Where it's stored
The waitlist is stored in a database at Cloudflare, which also hosts this site. When you join, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are not a robot, using technical details from your browser. The emails are sent by Resend, from our redrooms.app address. Both work for us and only use your data to do that. Cloudflare and Resend are American companies, so your data may be handled in the United States, under the safeguards they provide for data coming from the European Union.
The list is kept until the beta opens, and deleted at the latest 12 months after you joined if the beta hasn't opened by then.
Legal basis
Your consent, given with the switches on the form. You can take it back at any time, and we'll remove you from the list.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time, or leave the list, by writing to hello@redrooms.app or by replying to our email. Under the GDPR you can also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Cookies
This site uses no cookies and no trackers, and its fonts are served from our own pages. Your browser only remembers, on your own device, that you said you are 18 or older and the invite code you got, so you see your link again when you come back.
